CREATIVE PROBLEMS IN DIGITAL ANIMATION II (PROJECT 3 AND 4)
This was a super challenging project at first, which turned out to be my favorite project of the semester, and therefore I did choose this one to finalize for my final project of the course. We had to choose a dialogue and animate a 20 second lip-sync. I chose to do mine in 3D, since that is my focus, and being that I haven’t animated anything in Maya in about 20 years … it started out feeling really messy and disorganized, but throughout the process, I learned so much and was super happy with all the newer tools available in Maya since I last animated in 2002! At final turn in, there are still about a million things I can tweak on this, but overall, I’m pleased with how it turned out, and am looking forward to working more with animation. I downloaded the character rig, Leo, from Wonderwell Studios. The voice is from an interview of Elijah Wood (scroll down to see the original interview!). Click on the image to view the film!
