As an artist, inspiration is everywhere … and some things just strike me deep at my heart … and Nightbirde’s performance and golden buzzer on America’s Got Talent had me full of inspiration. I’m usually not one to do fan art, but I just felt an incredible desire to. I was looking at her Facebook […]
Getting back into figure drawing! The local figure drawing group finally resumed sessions, so I was able to attend that (not sharing anything that I did because … wow … I am RUSTY!) … and the timing was awesome as Proko just launched their new website and community with loads of great livestreams, one of […]
SKTCHY PROCREATE 30 FACES DAY #7
Here is Day #7 of Sktchy’s Procreate challenge! I’m skipping around on this series because full wedding editing has my time extremely limited. I’m watching some of the lessons and then picking and choosing the ones that interest me. This one looked fun because of the pen and ink look as well as the scribbly […]
SKTCHY PROCREATE 30 FACES DAY #5
Decided to do Day #5 today! I skipped #4 because I want to do that one with Jenna. I think she would love the subject matter and the technique – and it would also be a good portfolio piece for her! Day #5 involved some fun experimentation with the adjustments controls – the gradient map […]
SKTCHY PROCREATE 30 FACES DAY #3
Day #3 of Sktchy Art School’s 30 Faces 30 Days Procreate Challenge. This one involved learning more about the pen and ink style brushes. After the tutorial, I further enhanced mine using a stamp style approach with the gouache brushes to look more like ink washes.
SKTCHY PROCREATE 30 FACES DAY #2
Day #2 for Sktchy Art School’s 30 Faces 30 Days Procreate Challenge! I loved this one! Exploring the watercolor and gouache brushes! So much fun!
SKTCHY PROCREATE 30 FACES DAY #1
I signed up for another 30 Faces challenge over at Sktchy! This one is centered around Procreate, and I’m so very excited to learn more of what Procreate is capable of! I will not be able to do all 30 in 30 days, due to my busy wedding season, but I plan on squeezing them […]
A LITTLE PERSPECTIVE
Shifting gears from faces for a bit. I’ve started teaching Jenna about perspective and was inspired to draw a building! My reference is from a Facebook page I follow called The Forgotten South. The author of the page travels all over the south searching for old, neglected buildings and researches their history. It’s so fascinating. […]
ANATOMY WITH TIFFANY – NOSE PORTRAIT
Next lesson in Anatomy with Tiffany S Davanzo over at Sktchy Art School! Still working on the nose – this time a full portrait focusing on the nose. This was great fun as I also got to experiment more with color using the Dry Ink brush in Procreate.
ANATOMY WITH TIFFANY – NOSES
Learning about the anatomy of the nose and drawing a nose! Although I did draw the eyes as well … not going to go any further with this drawing so I can move on to the next lesson.
