As part of Jenna’s unit on Perspective, I took her to downtown Woodstock for a little lesson in urban sketching! It’s always best to draw from life whenever possible, and while she has been learning perpective all month long, it’s all been through photo referencing. I think she did great for her first time out! […]
Shifting gears from faces for a bit. I’ve started teaching Jenna about perspective and was inspired to draw a building! My reference is from a Facebook page I follow called The Forgotten South. The author of the page travels all over the south searching for old, neglected buildings and researches their history. It’s so fascinating. […]
Next lesson in Anatomy with Tiffany S Davanzo over at Sktchy Art School! Still working on the nose – this time a full portrait focusing on the nose. This was great fun as I also got to experiment more with color using the Dry Ink brush in Procreate.
Learning about the anatomy of the nose and drawing a nose! Although I did draw the eyes as well … not going to go any further with this drawing so I can move on to the next lesson.
This piece was done with Sktchy Art School’s Anatomy with Tiffany class. After an eye lesson, we had a lesson where we drew together a portrait while focusing on the eyes. I did this piece in Procreate!
Sktchy has this great app where they post daily inspiration faces and this one really stood out to me because of the great dramatic blue … and I wanted to try out the blue with the colored background paper I just experimented with in Tiffany DaVanzo’s Anatomy Sktchy class I’ve been working through!
I enjoyed this lesson from Tiffany S. DaVanzo’s Sktchy class on drawing the eyes! I especially loved the way she achieved a charcoal look in Procreate so I tried to duplicate that with my drawing.
It’s been about a month since I completed the Sktchy Art School 30 Faces in 30 Days Challenge, and I’ve been dying to do more … so I signed up for Tiffany S. DaVanzo’s Anatomy with Tiffany class … and I’m taking the class with the girl! Today was the first lesson, and we drew […]
WOW!!!!! I can’t believe I finished the challenge! What fun! I am now officially addicted to drawing faces … and I just LOVE what Sktchy is doing for the art world! I’m so glad I found them – I think I will be sticking with faces for awhile.
Second to last day of the challenge … of course Sktchy would have a face with glasses AND a beard!!
